Switzerland, man's double dial pocket watch with day/ date calendar, 15 jewels, stem wind and lever set, spotted nickel plate movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in a silver, reeded edge, engine turned hunting case, Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, the reverse with skeletonized white enamel dial indicating date and day of the week, blued steel whip and spade hands, 55mm, c1890.
CONDITION:
CASE: Dents and dings; Scratches on outer surface of case; Engine turning with minor wear; Band with substantial wear; Hinges sticky, covers slow to open; Crown with wear. DIAL: Time dial with edge chip, 4:00, concealed by bezel; Calendar dial with edge flakes/ chips, concealed by bezel. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches and pin pricks on plate; Some steel components with spots of oxide; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Calendar and correctors functioning correctly.
